.The mission of the Wisconsin Patriots is to encourage our fellow citizens to restore,
.exercise and preserve their individual rights, including the right to be safe.

The Wisconsin Patriots is a purely grassroots organization. Although many who are part of it may be members of the National Rifle Association or the Wisconsin Rifle and Pistol Association, Wisconsin Patriots is not affiliated with these organizations. We exist to regain an almost forgotten civil right.

We are not about guns. We are about Freedom and Liberty.

"I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments by those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations."
---James Madison

Citizens have allowed government to deny their right to carry a gun for their personal protection for so long, they no longer feel the loss of the right they have given up.

However, people will read daily about personal attacks upon their fellow citizens and still do no not connect the dots that the police will not protect them as individuals. The police can't or these attacks would never happen.Instead, it fuels the false sense of safety and denial because someone else was
attacked or killed, not them.

Criminals are allowed to act with impunity and without any fear of the consequences. There is great profit in crime and too little risk. However, when we take the profit out of crime and add real risk, we can change criminal behavior. Criminals will avoid very serious, unwanted, permanent and costly consequences, which are greater than their possible profit. Quick quiz.

Which victim below do you believe offers the greater profit potential to a criminal?

Why?

Which victim presents consequences that are personal, immediate, unwanted, permanent and very costly to the criminal?

Which victim do you want to be?

"How a politician stands on the Second Amendment tells you how he or she views you as an individual... as a trustworthy and productive citizen, or as part of an unruly crowd that needs to be lorded, controlled, supervised, and taken care of." --Rep. Suzanna Hupp (TX) (Be sure to watch Suzanna's videos before you leave).

Those Pesky Rights.

The human need to be safe and secure comes only after the physical needs for oxygen, for food and water, and to maintain body temperature. Being safe is actually more important to humans than being loved or overcoming feelings of loneliness. It's universal.

Our human right to be safe pre-dates the formation of our government and the writing of the Bill of Rights by centuries. It therefore should come as no surprise to anyone that the Bill of Rights (specifically the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution) was never meant to bestow a right upon us that we had not already possessed for centuries. The Second Amendment's purpose is to restrict the Federal Government's ability to take our rights away from us.

The Wisconsin Constitution contains the following: The people have the right to keep and bear arms for security, defense, hunting, recreation or any other lawful purpose. Art. I, #25 (enacted 1998). This does not overturn the prohibition of concealed carry, but it says the people have the right to bear arms for security.

That leaves us with open carry as the only lawful way to bear arms in Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Supreme Court has recognized this.

Demand Equal Treatment for All your Rights.

No one would allow the police to harass or threaten you with a Disorderly Conduct charge just for waiting in line to vote, or for entering a church, or arrest you for writing a letter to the editor, or for speaking your mind. It should not be tolerated that police harass or threaten your civil right to be safe for no other reason than you are lawfully armed.
